TULIP Consulting is hiring a Summer Fellow to support a project focused on the role trade and trade policies can play in greening the Indian steel sector. Specifically, the Summer Fellow will play a key role in supporting research and analysis, with a particular focus on:
Mapping and analyzing federal and state-level laws, policies, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the decarbonization of India’s steel sector;
Tracking recent policy developments in areas such as carbon pricing, green hydrogen, renewable energy, and industrial emissions standards;
Supporting stakeholder engagement, including helping to prepare for interviews with policymakers, industry and stakeholders.
Eligibility criteria
A minimum of two years relevant work experience.
A university degree in law, public policy, international relations, or a related area.
Excellent analytical, research and writing skills.
Ability to work and think independently and carry out tasks with minimal guidance.
Ability to deliver within short deadlines.
Fluency in English.
Optional: Experience working on industrial policy or steel decarbonization and familiarity with Indian policy and governance structures.
Conditions
Location: Remote.
Duration: June – August 2025 (flexible start date in early summer).
Remuneration: Stipend commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
